Now I will be able to serve the Church with more professionalism

CARF or the Foundation for the Roman Academic Centre was established in 1989 to assist in the formation of priests and seminarians from all over the world.

This formation takes place mainly in the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome, Italy), in the Faculties of Ecclesiastical Studies in the University of Navarre (Pamplona, Spain) and in the International Ecclesiastical Colleges of Sedes Sapientiae (Rome) and Bidasoa (Pamplona).
CARF contributes to make these centres well known and also to their financial support helping thus in the preparation of many new priests for the XXI century.

Dear friends, CARF benefactors:

Peace be with you. My name is Gabriel Atiano Okinyo, from the Diocese of Homa Bay (Kenya). I study canon law at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome.

My heart feels very happy to take this golden opportunity to show humble and sincere gratitude and that of my diocese for giving me the opportunity to complete my studies, which will be so useful to serve the Church with greater professionalism and competence.

Although the first year was hard, I can ensure that everything went better. Acclimatization was hard to another way of life, new culture … but now I feel very comfortable. The learning environment is very friendly and there is a very positive atmosphere, thanks to the teachers and students fraternity.

I promise to stay focused and work to achieve the purpose for which I came here. Again, I thank you for the great act of love and sacrifice they are doing with me.

May God bless you abundantly. Be assured of my prayers for you.

Affectionately,

Gabriel Atiano Okinyo
