The baby project

My wife and I have one child, a boy who is now 9 years old. For a long time we've been looking for another baby without success.

I therefore decided to entrust the 'baby project' to Don Alvaro by saying his prayer card regularly. Once the date of beatification was announced I started arranging to attend the beatification with my wife and hopefully also use the occasion to seek medical opinion on the issue at the University of Navarra. To our utter surprise, we discovered at the end of July 2014 that my wife was 10 weeks pregnant! Don Alvaro had fixed the issue long before our pilgrimage to the beatification. We have just returned from Madrid having attended the beatification and also having given thanks for this great gift.

What are the donations used for?

The contributions for a beatification and canonization cause help to cover the costs involved in making the Servant of God, Blessed or Saint more widely known, the diocesan investigation, the Roman phase and, finally, the ceremony of beatification and canonization, in accordance with the norms approved by Pope Francis on 7 March 2016. When the ceremony of canonization has taken place, the donations are destined to the spreading of the message of the new saint.
